“Tenuta Della Sgrilla” – Villa Galatea in Capalbio

The Villa: Architecture as Experience
Villa Galatea was conceived as a project to be experienced through all the senses, where architecture, light, and material engage in a measured and poetic dialogue. Generous spaces, permeated by natural light, unfold as a sequence of environments that welcome without imposing themselves, while the careful selection of materials and finishes conveys a sense of harmony and depth.
A measured and poetic dialogue
Light flows across expansive glass surfaces, animating walls painted with evocative, imagined landscapes and natural suggestions. The interplay of forms, chromatic palettes, and distant references shapes a layered architectural language, in which every detail contributes to a coherent and recognizable narrative.

The Bedrooms: Intimate Spaces, Distinct Identities
Each bedroom is conceived as an autonomous environment, defined by its own identity through powdery and earthy tones, tactile surfaces, and carefully curated precious textiles. The design prioritizes intimacy and perceptual quality, creating spaces intended not only for rest and quiet, but also for contemplation and attentive presence. The en-suite bathrooms, finished with lime-based surfaces and discreet decorative elements, become an integral part of the architectural composition: essential yet expressive spaces where research, craftsmanship, and contemporary sensibility meet with natural ease.

A Design Journey
Galatea is first and foremost an architectural and emotional journey, articulated through diverse yet deeply interconnected environments.

A project that interprets dwelling as an experience, where design, nature, and light intertwine to generate intimate atmospheres capable of inspiring and restoring. More than a residence, it is a place of exploration and balance, one that leaves room for imagination and invites a profound relationship with space, time, and sensation.
